Mt. Olivet Cemetery, consecrated in 1892, is the largest cemetery in Colorado, spanning 392 acres on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge. St. Simeon Cemetery, consecrated in 2004, serves the eastern side of the metro area in Aurora. Together with our mortuary locations—including the original site opened in 1981 and the recently acquired Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary—we serve the Catholic community of the Denver metro area, its various parishes, missions, and apostolates, as well as members of the general public regardless of religious affiliation.
As part of the management team, the Assistant Director of Financial and Business Operations supports the Executive Director in maintaining strong financial stewardship and operational efficiency across all cemetery and mortuary locations. This role is integral to the ministry of the Catholic Church, requiring work conducted in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and teachings of the Church. The team is dedicated to serving families with dignity, compassion, and respect.
You will provide leadership and oversight to administrative staff and the staff accountant, guiding financial decision-making and operational improvements within the ministry. Your work ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial processes, including daily cash receipts, contract processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management. Beyond financial oversight, you will offer strategic management of HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations, while ensuring a well-organized, professional, and efficient work environment.
Interested candidates should submit their application through our official portal. The selection process involves a review of qualifications and experience to ensure alignment with our mission and operational needs.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
