This position serves as a vital support pillar within the collegiate baseball program, dedicated to the holistic development of student-athletes. Working under the direction of the Head Coach, you will assist in the full spectrum of team operations, from on-field coaching and strategy to academic counseling and budget management. The role exists to ensure that athletes excel not only in competition but also in their academic pursuits and personal growth.
Your day will be a dynamic blend of on-field instruction and off-field administration. You will implement coaching strategies and analyze performance data to refine game plans, while also conducting practices and managing camps. Beyond the field, you will play a key role in the team's financial health by assisting with budget development, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring strict compliance with university and NCAA regulations.
You will also act as a bridge between athletics and academics, meeting with athletes to review course loads, degree requirements, and study techniques. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to recruitment, where you will develop promotional strategies, conduct recruiting trips, and engage with prospective student-athletes and their families. Additionally, you will oversee course loads, prepare lesson plans, and coordinate video analysis and strength training programs.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel and work non-traditional hours as required by the sport. The role involves driving passenger vans and operating standard office equipment. Please note that this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
