Join a hard-working team committed to providing top-quality municipal services in a prime North County location. This part-time Park Attendant I position is based at Dixon Lake and/or Lake Wohlford. You will be the face of the park, ensuring visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience while maintaining the facilities.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of customer service and hands-on maintenance. You will assist customers with boat operations, manage reservations, and handle cash transactions. Beyond the dock, you will perform essential park upkeep, including landscape maintenance, trail clearing, graffiti removal, and deep cleaning of restroom facilities. The role also requires utilizing various hand and power tools for minor repairs, managing supplies, and ensuring the security of City buildings and parking areas after hours. As a key member of the team, you may also assist with logistics during emergencies and direct traffic during special events.
Applications will be screened, and the most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a selection process. This may include written and/or oral examinations, physical agility tests, or practical exams. Candidates are ranked on an eligibility list based on their test scores. Selections are made from this list and are subject to a successful background investigation, including LIVESCAN fingerprinting, and verification of the legal right to work in the United States. A pre-employment medical examination and drug screen will be conducted following a conditional offer of employment.
