About the Role

The Spirit Assistant Buyer supports the Buyer, Associate Buyer, and Senior Assistant Buyer in achieving overall department strategies. This role exists to help exceed department sales goals and profitability by creating impactful assortments, coordinating deliveries, and analyzing weekly sales performance.

In this position, you will partner with internal departments such as planning, social media, marketing, store operations, product development, and visual merchandising to execute comprehensive strategies. You will develop a working knowledge of the merchandising function, including merchandise selection, negotiating, pricing, planning, and marketing. Your day-to-day involves analyzing sales and item performance, preparing reports for team meetings, and tracking purchase order worksheets. You will assist in sample approval processes and help develop professional relationships with external suppliers and internal partners. Additionally, you will support visual merchandising efforts by setting monthly floor sets and planograms, and you may travel to store locations to review product mixes and gather feedback. Occasional market travel to visit vendors and attend trade shows is also part of the role.
