This position is part of our 2nd shift operations, running Monday through Friday from 3:12 PM to 11:59 PM. You will work under the direction of a leader or supervisor to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules, and accessories for new gas turbine engines using established tooling and process methods. Your day will involve performing mechanical work to overhaul engines and related components, obtaining parts, and checking details for conformance to assembly requirements.
You will utilize mechanic's hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and install details. Additionally, you will provide support for test operations, assisting with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules. This role also involves assisting with co-producer and customer support programs, retrofit projects, and accommodating new engine programs and specification changes.
