The AI Specialist serves as a pivotal support figure for the COMPASS initiative, bridging the gap between emerging artificial intelligence technologies and practical educational application. This role is designed to translate project goals into actionable strategies for faculty, staff, and students, ensuring that AI adoption is ethical, accessible, and aligned with institutional values.
In this position, you will act as a guide for AI literacy, helping the campus community navigate the responsible use of AI tools. Your work will directly impact faculty-led pilot projects, providing hands-on assistance with tool selection, implementation, and documentation. Beyond technical support, you will collaborate with Information Technology to uphold data security practices and contribute to the development of an AI Integration & Ethics Toolkit. The role also involves supporting student workshops and gathering data to evaluate the program's impact on enrollment, progression, and retention.
This position is primarily based on the Williamson, TN Campus. It is a grant-funded role through December 2029; please note that funding beyond this period is not guaranteed.
