About the Role

Sodexo is hiring an Area Executive Chef for the Lake Washington school district in Seattle, Washington. This position provides culinary support to schools within the district.
The Area Executive Chef will be an energetic, polished culinary professional with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. This is an on-site opportunity in Seattle, Washington, that requires occasional travel to schools in the district. You will represent the company in presentations regarding sales, new programs, and retention, while supporting staff in recruiting, selecting, and developing chefs.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleRepresent the company in presentations regarding sales, new programs, and retention
- check_circleManage plate costing and inventory systems to ensure operational efficiency
- check_circleImplement and train staff on Food Management Systems (FMS) and culinary protocols
- check_circleDesign and develop menus, culinary plans, and recipes for school district facilities
- check_circleSupport staff recruitment, selection, and professional development of culinary teams
- check_circleConduct food safety training and ensure compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- verifiedMinimum 3 years management experience
- verifiedMinimum 3 years functional experience
- verifiedMinimum 5 years experience as a culinary lead in multi-site units/high-volume facilities
