About the Role
The Area Director of Finance will oversee financial operations for Isla Bella Beach Resort and Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort in Marathon, as well as Havana Cabana in Key West. These properties represent a unique collection of premium, waterfront Florida Keys destinations known for exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial performance.
Serving as a strategic business partner to property leadership, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, sound fiscal controls, and forward-looking financial planning across the portfolio. The position is dedicated to supporting short- and long-term business objectives through rigorous budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance oversight.
While a fully on-site Director of Finance is preferred, a hybrid role will be considered for the right candidate who is committed to traveling and supporting the team onsite no less than three days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department
- check_circleMonitor hotel revenues and expenses to ensure accurate financial recording
- check_circlePerform and oversee monthly close processes and reconcile bank accounts
- check_circleOversee accounts payable and receivable including general ledger reconciliations
- check_circleCoordinate forecasting, cash flow preparation, and annual budgeting processes
- check_circleLead finance projects including system enhancements or implementations
- check_circlePrepare accurate monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP and USALI
- check_circleMonitor capital planning process and manage bid processes for capital improvements
- check_circleEnsure compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, contracts, and operational taxes
- check_circleHire, train, supervise, and develop accounting staff members
- check_circleReview payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
