As a Technician 1, you will serve as the foundation of our operations team. This role is designed for a motivated individual eager to learn the intricacies of lake and pond management. You will immerse yourself in our company policies, software platforms, and safety protocols while striving to embody our Core Values from day one.
Your day-to-day will involve a dynamic blend of fieldwork and administrative tasks. You will gain proficiency in preventative maintenance, construction, repair services, and retail operations. As you progress, you will master the operation of hand tools, small equipment, and pumps, eventually handling heavy equipment and aquatic vegetation management. You will work across diverse job sites, including residential and commercial properties, often in challenging environments involving water, mud, and varying weather conditions.
Communication is key to your success. You will interact regularly with customers, supervisors, and team members, ensuring that feedback is shared and that operational needs are met promptly. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records using our time and vehicle management systems, ensuring that every job is documented and every safety protocol is followed.
We are committed to your professional growth. Over your first year, you will pursue critical certifications, including the Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Inspection and Maintenance Professional certification and the NC aquatic pesticide applicators exam. We expect you to attend at least one company-led training annually and actively participate in our feedback culture to ensure continuous improvement.

An associate degree or related experience in landscaping, environmental management, water resources, fisheries science, or stormwater device maintenance. Helpful knowledge and experience in aquatic vegetation management, freshwater fishery management, turf establishment and maintenance, trash and debris removal, boat operation and trailering, electric motor installations, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with computers and general business software.
