About the Role
As an Appointment Scheduler, you will serve as a vital link in our healthcare delivery system. This role ensures patients receive timely access to care by expertly managing the scheduling of appointments, medical procedures, tests, and studies. You will act as a crucial point of contact for patients seeking medical services, working under general supervision to provide seamless scheduling support.
Your day-to-day involves managing a high volume of phone calls to schedule a variety of patient appointments while conducting pre-certifications to confirm insurance coverage. You will communicate essential information regarding appointments and procedure instructions, meticulously collect accurate insurance and personal data, and may assist with collecting co-pays or co-insurance. Your diligent work streamlines the patient journey from initial contact through treatment, ensuring clarity and convenience for every individual.
