About the Role
GWS Tool Group is seeking an Applications Specialist to serve as a technical bridge between our Solid Round and Insert Cutting Tools and the metalworking industry. This role is designed for a professional who thrives on understanding complex customer needs and translating them into actionable solutions. You will not only educate customers, prospects, and distributors on our product capabilities but also act as a vital feedback loop, clearly communicating customer requirements back to the GWS Tool Group team to drive product evolution.
In this position, you will manage existing accounts while actively generating new opportunities within the West Michigan Territory. Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of field work and strategic planning, including scheduling appointments, conducting physical sales presentations, and attending trade shows. You will partner with the distribution chain to develop prospect accounts and ensure customers are kept up-to-date on pricing, service conditions, and the latest product releases. Success in this role requires a balance of technical expertise in milling, turning, and grooving, alongside strong relationship-building skills to portray the company with professionalism and diplomacy.

Requirements
