As the leading academic health system in the state, we advance innovative strategies in patient care, education, and research to address both clinical and social determinants of health. Our mission is to create and sustain healthier communities, one person and one community at a time, by improving local resident health and creating educational and career opportunities.
The IT&S Medical Group Support team operates within the System Business Office, serving as a critical backbone for our clinical operations. We honor the privilege of delivering a best-in-class work experience to every team member while ensuring the technology that supports our caregivers and patients remains robust, secure, and efficient.
The Application Analyst II serves as a self-directed primary support resource for designated applications within our healthcare ecosystem. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical configuration and clinical workflow needs. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design and build of workflows, system configurations, and change documentation, ensuring that our applications evolve to meet the dynamic needs of our customer base.
In this position, you will work with minimal supervision to install, upgrade, and configure applications. Your day-to-day involves creating and executing test scripts for implementation, upgrade, and maintenance initiatives, while documenting all outcomes including troubleshooting steps. You will act as a key resource for Level 1 analysts, validating their work and sharing knowledge to elevate the team's capabilities. Beyond the build, you will provide on-call support during go-live periods and ongoing maintenance, addressing customer issues, recommending mitigation plans, and escalating complex challenges after thorough research.
Success in this role requires adaptability to changing end-user business needs and the ability to collaborate effectively with project leadership, subject matter experts, and Epic counterparts. You will represent the application in Integrated Area Workgroups and maintain rigorous version control of workflows and decision trackers.
Candidates selected for this position will be evaluated based on their educational background, skills, and professional experience. The compensation package is market-competitive and reflects the anticipated annual salary range for the position if hired to work in New Jersey.
