About the Role
LSB Industries is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the AP function within a multi-entity, manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintains strong internal controls, and drives continuous improvement through automation and process optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep AP expertise, strong leadership skills, and experience working in ERP-driven environments to foster a culture of accuracy and accountability across the team.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead, coach, and develop the accounts payable team through hiring, training, and performance management
- check_circleMonitor AP aging and ensure liabilities are recorded accurately to support financial reporting
- check_circleMaintain and enforce internal controls in compliance with company policy and audit requirements
- check_circlePartner with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and analysis
- check_circleDrive process improvements and automation initiatives for AP systems and workflow tools
- check_circleCollaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to improve PO-to-invoice workflows and resolve exceptions
- check_circleReview and approve invoice batches to ensure coding accuracy, policy alignment, and fraud prevention
- check_circleManage vendor relationships by resolving discrepancies, handling statement reconciliations, and escalations
- check_circleSupport month, quarter, and year-end close processes including accruals and account reconciliations
- check_circleOversee accounts payable operations across multiple entities including invoice intake, coding, and approvals
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- verified5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
- verified1–3 years in a supervisory or lead role
- verifiedExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity environment
- verifiedHands-on experience with ERP systems such as Oracle JD Edwards
- verifiedExperience with AP automation tools (e.g., Medius, OCR solutions)
- verifiedStrong understanding of 3-way match, purchase order processes, and inventory-related AP workflows
- verifiedAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills
- verifiedStrong knowledge of internal controls and audit readiness (SOX exposure a plus)
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity environment. Hands-on experience with Oracle JD Edwards. Experience with AP automation tools such as Medius or OCR solutions. SOX exposure.
