About the Role
This position serves as a Senior Analytic Methodologist within the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the broader Intelligence Community. The role is designed for an expert who can independently lead, integrate, and define complex analytic tasks while validating outcomes without supervision.
You will act as a subject matter expert, providing advisory support to Government leadership on processes, procedures, and emerging technologies. A core part of your mission is to lead collaborative efforts that produce synergized, mission-driven analysis, ensuring results exceed individual contributions. You will also deliver senior-level analytic and operational support directly to NGA office-level leadership.
Day in the Life
In this capacity, you will apply advanced quantitative and qualitative techniques to solve intricate analytic problems. Your work involves the mining, cleansing, and exploration of spatial, temporal, and non-spatial data across both structured and unstructured formats. You will utilize tools such as GIS, data visualization, modeling, and systems analysis to extract and visualize critical information.
Beyond technical execution, you will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior and mid-level analysts. You will conduct quality control and assurance reviews of analytic work products to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications & Clearance
Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph. While a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field may substitute for three years of experience, and a Master's degree may substitute for two years, the role requires seven or more years of demonstrated experience applying these techniques.
