This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. You will direct and manage schedules and purchase orders for a client account or product family, ensuring products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and are procured at the right cost. The role involves carrying out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans while responding to value stream inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will compile price proposals and financial reports to provide input on reasonable prices, monitor contract performance for compliance, and contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve issues such as shortages or missed deadlines. You will also develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, participate in continuous improvement initiatives using CORE tools, and support AS9100 efforts. Additionally, you may be required to support other duties within the company and travel up to 10% based on business needs.
