The Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) is a pivotal member of our healthcare team, entrusted with the authority and responsibility to deliver comprehensive nursing care. In this PRN capacity, you will apply competent clinical knowledge and independent nursing judgment to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care. Your role involves performing preliminary assessments through observation and chart review to facilitate seamless follow-up with the broader healthcare team.
You will be the first line of defense in identifying unstable or complex patient situations, facilitating appropriate interventions, and implementing clinical decisions. A significant portion of your day will be dedicated to patient education, where you will identify teach/learning needs for patients and families, provide clear instruction, and evaluate the effectiveness of that teaching through documentation. Additionally, you will manage incoming treatment-related phone calls and handle necessary administrative tasks, such as completing FMLA forms and obtaining physician signatures. This role requires the ability to adapt to age-specific patient needs while maintaining the highest standards of care in a fast-paced clinic setting.
