IVA'AL Solutions, LLC is a federally recognized American Indian-owned company dedicated to supporting the Air Force Family Advocacy Program (FAP). As a Department of Defense-funded initiative, the FAP operates across U.S. Air Force Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) with a critical mission: to prevent and respond to intimate partner abuse, child abuse, and problematic sexual behavior involving children and youth. Our team provides essential staffing for Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Certified Victim Advocates, and Program Assistants to ensure a coordinated community response for service members and their families.
The Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate (DAVA) serves as a vital, non-clinical resource for Air Force personnel, family members, and intimate partners who are victims of abuse. Located at Barksdale AFB, this role is designed to provide emergent and urgent support whenever requested. While the DAVA operates within a framework of mandatory reporting for safety and legal compliance, the core of the position is to offer a private, confidential service that empowers victims to seek assistance.
In this capacity, you will be the first point of contact for victims, providing 24/7 response capabilities via telephone or in-person. Your day will involve establishing and reviewing individualized safety plans, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with base agencies such as Security Forces and the Office of Special Investigations. You will guide victims through available military and civil actions, connect them with resources like emergency shelter and legal services, and accompany them to appointments or court proceedings when requested. The role requires a balance of immediate crisis intervention and long-term case management, ensuring that the safety of the victim and their children remains the top priority.
Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass a criminal history and security clearance background check. Additionally, all personnel must provide proof of required immunizations (Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and influenza) and a negative TB skin test prior to starting work. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is also mandatory before beginning duties.
IVA'AL Solutions, LLC is an equal employment opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, or military service. As an American Indian-owned company, we adhere to an Indian Preference Policy, extending priority to qualified American Indian candidates when qualifications are substantially equal. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every team member can contribute to the safety and well-being of the Air Force community.
