About the Role

Peraton is hiring an AI/ML Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. In this full-time position, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This role requires 1880 hours of support per year, performed on-site at a customer location.

As an AI/ML Software Engineer, you will help create AI/ML-assisted systems engineering, architecture, security, and requirements generation instances. A key focus of this role involves customizing access and interfaces with a Large Language Model (LLM) tailored specifically for the customer. You will design user-friendly interfaces for intuitive usage, ensure modular security measures, and coordinate access control measures to keep the system secure. Your work will also include designing interfaces to bridge external management tools, creating export features for common Microsoft Office services, and assisting in the production of instructional materials for user training. Additionally, you will generate lessons learned to improve AI/ML processes and provide expert advice to customers based on their specific needs.
