AI/ML Engineers at our client clinic serve as the bridge between advanced data science and clinical practice. This role is pivotal in uniting data, systems, and computer sciences to develop, deploy, and maintain ethical AI solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment alongside clinicians, user experience designers, product managers, and IT professionals to ensure that AI technologies are not only technically robust but also seamlessly integrated into real-world healthcare workflows.
The position spans the full spectrum of the AI lifecycle, from ideation to production. You will be responsible for engineering systems that handle everything from design requirements and component creation to verification and risk mitigation. A key focus is ensuring that digital health technology products meet and exceed regulatory requirements, setting new benchmarks for safety and effectiveness in clinical settings. This includes facilitating consistent, automated software development and releases through the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
You will design and implement Agentic AI systems, including LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and agent architectures. Your work involves building and maintaining Python services, automation workflows, and data pipelines, such as RAG systems with embeddings and vector databases. You will implement evaluation frameworks and guardrails to ensure the safety and quality of LLM/agent systems before they reach production.
Beyond coding, you will collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to uphold code quality, performance, and security. You will also provide training and education to healthcare staff on the use of AI tools, translating complex technical findings into easily understandable terms to bridge the gap between AI technologies and clinical applications. The role requires a proactive approach to rapid experimentation, continuously evaluating new models and emerging patterns like MCP and A2A architectures.
We are hiring multiple contractors for this role. Specific strengths may vary across candidates, so we encourage you to highlight your unique expertise in AI/LLM agents, cloud infrastructure, or healthcare informatics. The interview process will assess your ability to design autonomous agents, your proficiency with Python and cloud-native deployment patterns, and your understanding of HIPAA/PHI handling in AI contexts.
Our team values diversity and inclusion. We are committed to creating an environment where professionals from varied backgrounds can thrive. We consider qualified applicants regardless of their background, ensuring that our diverse perspectives drive innovation in healthcare technology. We seek independent operators who can work with minimal supervision in fast-moving environments while maintaining strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
