About the Role
We are seeking an innovative AI Business Process Engineer to transform mission and business processes within Department of Defense (DoD) environments. This role bridges operational workflows and advanced analytics, ensuring AI capabilities are effectively embedded into DoD mission processes. You will work to enhance mission planning, execution, and operational efficiency by integrating AI-enabled automation and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAnalyze and document AS-IS and TO-BE processes to identify AI and automation opportunities
- check_circleDesign and implement AI-enabled workflows to enhance mission planning and operational efficiency
- check_circleTranslate operational requirements into AI use cases, data requirements, and process improvements
- check_circleDevelop process artifacts including BPMN diagrams, swimlanes, and AI-enabled decision trees
- check_circleIntegrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems and mission applications
- check_circleCollaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to operationalize AI within business processes
- check_circleIdentify and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and intelligent automation solutions
- check_circleDefine and track KPIs and performance metrics to measure AI-driven process improvements
- check_circleSupport data governance, data readiness, and labeling strategies for AI adoption
- check_circleEnsure compliance with DoD AI ethical principles, RMF, and Zero Trust frameworks
- check_circleLead change management and user adoption efforts for AI-enabled processes
- check_circleSupport DevSecOps and continuous improvement cycles for AI-integrated workflows
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent and active Secret clearance
- verified5-10 years of experience in business process engineering, operations analysis, or digital transformation
- verifiedExperience supporting DoD, federal agencies, or government contractors
- verifiedBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
Nice to Have
Experience supporting DISA, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, or Service-level organizations. Familiarity with Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) or mission workflows. Familiarity with JADC2 and data-centric operations concepts. Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.). Experience with AI-enabled analytics platforms (e.g., Palantir, Databricks). Experience with data engineering concepts (ETL pipelines, APIs). Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), AI/ML or Data Analytics, or Security+ (DoD 8570/8140 compliant).
