Dignity Health Medical Group - Arizona, in partnership with the Digestive Disease Institute, is building a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing digestive health care in the East Valley. As an affiliate member of the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, the group is committed to training the next generation of medical professionals while delivering world-class patient care.
About the Role
We are seeking a General Gastroenterologist to join our team in Chandler, AZ, to build a practice focused on the breadth of general gastroenterology. You will practice within a 429-bed Academic Medical Center and attached clinics, utilizing a newly expanded, state-of-the-art five-suite Endoscopy center.
Beyond clinical duties, this role offers a unique academic opportunity. You will serve as a faculty member for the Creighton University Medical School (Phoenix campus) Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship, supervising residents and fellows. This position allows you to contribute to the top-notch training of future medical professionals at the newly created community graduate medical education program, situated next to the St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center campus.
Where You'll Work
Your primary location will be Chandler Regional Medical Center, a full-service, 429-bed acute-care and trauma level 1 hospital. The facility handles approximately 78,000 emergency department visits and 5,000 trauma activations annually. It serves as a primary stroke center with comprehensive cardiovascular, cardiac surgery, and neurosurgery services. Combined with our East Valley facilities, we deliver over 7,000 babies per year, with further growth anticipated with the opening of the Women and Children's Pavilion.
