Our client, a leading defense contractor, is seeking an Advanced Machinist Technician for their Scottsdale, AZ facility. This 2nd Shift position is critical to maintaining precision manufacturing capabilities for top-secret technologies. You will serve as a key operator, utilizing your mechanical aptitude to transform basic drawings, process sheets, and sketches into high-precision metal components.
In this role, you will operate a diverse array of machinery, including lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, and profile machines. Your day-to-day involves setting up equipment, making precise adjustments, and performing maintenance to ensure optimal performance. You will work under general supervision for routine tasks while receiving detailed instructions for new activities or special assignments, ensuring strict adherence to quality control procedures and close tolerances.
