About the Role
The Adult Radiographer position is available in Levels 1 through 3, determined by your experience, education, and certification. In this role, you will perform routine and emergent diagnostic X-ray examinations using fixed and portable equipment under the supervision of the department. Your work is central to patient-centric care, ensuring that every test is performed safely and meets the highest quality standards.
Your day will involve preparing patients for procedures, reviewing clinical history, and collaborating with providers to align testing with care plans. You will be responsible for safely administering contrast media, managing reactions, and responding to patient and family inquiries with clear, compassionate communication. Beyond clinical duties, you will maintain equipment, perform quality control checks, and ensure accurate documentation within the EMR/PACS systems.
This role offers opportunities for growth and leadership. Depending on your level, you may support OU Health's academic partnerships by teaching students in the radiologic program, serve as a departmental preceptor to mentor new team members, or assist with onboarding. The position may also require on-call clinical coverage on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
