The Admissions Counselor for the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) serves as a representative of the University of Cincinnati, guiding prospective students through the college application and decision process. This role is vital for recruiting first-year, first-time undergraduate, and transfer students, ensuring the college reaches its enrollment goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
In this position, you will collaborate with faculty, staff, and other university offices to plan and execute recruitment events of all sizes. Your day-to-day involves conducting visits at high schools and STEM groups, attending recruitment fairs, and delivering presentations to prospective students and their families. You will also serve as a liaison to the CEAS Student Ambassador organization, assist in supervising student workers, and participate in secondary application reviews to make holistic admission decisions. The role requires managing a specific geographic territory, using data-driven decisions to coordinate travel, and utilizing a CRM system to track student interactions and generate reports.
