The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is a caring, small-university environment dedicated to helping students find their path to great professional careers. For over a century, the university has served 3,000 traditional and non-traditional students from across the state, country, and world. Situated on 150 acres in northern Maine, UMPI strives to be the region's premier learning institution while stimulating cultural and economic development in Aroostook County.
The YourPace Admissions team is a dynamic and innovative group providing proactive, student-centered support to adult graduate and undergraduate competency-based education prospects and applicants. This team works collaboratively to guide students through their educational journey in a flexible, remote-friendly environment.
This part-time Administrative Specialist (CL2) serves as the primary point of contact for the YourPace Admissions general inbox. You will manage direct communications with prospective students, connecting current applicants to their Admissions Specialist and directing current students to their Success Coach. The role also involves returning phone inquiries and routing calls to the broader admissions and enrollment staff as needed.
Working primarily remotely, this position requires the ability to manage multiple projects independently while collaborating closely with the entire YourPace Admissions team. As an essential position, you must be prepared to work remotely during inclement weather or campus emergencies. Occasional travel to the UMPI campus may be required for training and events.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, but for full consideration, materials must be received by June 1, 2026. Applications received after this date may be reviewed at the University's discretion.
To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume via the "Apply Now" button or the UMPI Careers Page. You must create an applicant profile and submit all required documents to be considered complete. Finalist candidates will be asked to provide a list of professional references, and a background check will be conducted for the selected candidate.
Note: The University is unable to consider applicants who require visa sponsorship.
