Denver Health is an integrated, high-quality academic health care system considered a model for the nation. As Colorado's primary safety-net health care system, we provide millions in uncompensated care for the uninsured each year. Our organization includes a Level I Trauma Center, a 555-bed acute care medical center, Denver's 911 emergency medical response system, and a network of family and school-based health centers.
We are with you for life's journey. At Denver Health, purpose isn't just something we believe in—it's something we live every day. Our culture is built on four core values: Respect, Belonging, Accountability, and Transparency.
We are recruiting for a mission-driven Administrative Director of Orthopedics to join our team. In this role, you will direct the operations and strategic planning for the Orthopedics department, overseeing patient services, human resources, and financial management. You will serve as a key partner to leadership, representing Denver Health at professional and civic meetings while fostering a culture of performance improvement and change management using Lean tools.
This position is about more than just oversight; it is about building capacity. You will mentor, guide, and coach direct reports to expand their capabilities and build management depth for succession planning. Your day-to-day involves navigating complex market trends, resolving operational challenges, and ensuring the department operates with efficiency and compliance. You will be the primary contact for contracts and a driving force in developing business plans for new initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals.
Applicants will be considered until the position is filled. All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
Denver Health is an equal opportunity employer (EOE). We value the unique ideas, talents, and contributions reflective of the needs of our community.
