Our mission is to ensure the physical, operational, and financial integrity of the regional flood risk management system in southeastern Louisiana as a defense against floods and storm surge from hurricanes. We accomplish this mission by working with local, regional, state, and federal partners to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain projects that reduce the probability and risk of flooding for residents and businesses within our jurisdiction.
This position serves as a vital support pillar for the Maintenance department across Orleans, East Jefferson, and St. Bernard parishes. Reporting directly to the Deputy Undersecretary, the role is dedicated to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of administrative data that drives our operational decisions. The day-to-day rhythm involves a careful balance of precision and communication: reviewing timecards and daily log sheets to verify labor and equipment usage, auditing cost codes, and resolving discrepancies with supervisors and foremen. You will also manage the flow of incoming mail and coordinate the invoice processing lifecycle, ensuring that financial documentation moves smoothly from receipt to final approval and payment.
