About the Role
The Tucson Convention Center, including the Tucson Arena, Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, and Leo Rich Theater, is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant. In this role, you will perform day-to-day accounting and payroll activities for the facility and food and facility operations. You will be an integral part of the team ensuring the financial health of our world-class venues, working closely with Accounting Managers and the Director of Finance to maintain accurate records and drive operational success.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform day-to-day accounting activities and monitor general ledger reconciliations
- check_circlePrepare invoices and monthly revenue recognition journal entries
- check_circleAssist with event settlements and monthly financial statement preparation
- check_circleSupport bi-weekly payroll processing and related journal entries
- check_circleMaintain fixed asset detail records and perform account analysis
- check_circlePrepare balance sheet reconciliations for review with management
- check_circlePrepare and perform bank reconciliations for food, beverage, and facility operations
- check_circleExecute accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Requirements
- verifiedB.S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
- verifiedMinimum of 1-2 years of general accounting experience
- verifiedExtensive knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- verifiedExperience with ADP or similar payroll systems
- verifiedSage software knowledge
- verifiedExtensive knowledge of general and cost accounting
- verifiedFamiliarity with GAAP
Nice to Have
Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems. Knowledge of Sage software.
