This position is located in the Lafayette Region Child Welfare department in Lafayette, LA. As the sole Administrative Assistant to the Area Director, you will perform a variety of critical functions for the entire region. You will serve as the confidential executive secretary, exercising a high degree of independent judgment and initiative to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for the Area Director, screening incoming calls and visitors, and managing complex schedules and conference calls. You will review, edit, and prepare official correspondence, including letters, memos, reports, and contracts. Additionally, you will maintain records, prepare meeting materials, and process travel authorizations and expense documents.
