Adjunct Nursing Instructor

About the Role

As a Nursing Instructor at Salem Community College, you will assume teaching responsibilities for assigned classes, labs, and clinical settings. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you will develop coursework and participate in ongoing program evaluation activities. This role is designed to ensure compliance with Board of Nursing regulations while fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

You will serve as a key liaison between students and administration, conferring with the CNO and Director of Nursing (DON) to resolve student concerns and ensure academic rigor. Working effectively as part of the faculty team, you will collaborate with colleagues to meet student needs, maintain detailed records of progress and performance, and provide clear expectations for course assignments.

Hiring Process

A successful criminal background check is required as a condition of employment. Candidates must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license and possess at least one year of clinical experience in an acute health care facility. Specific educational requirements include a Master's degree in Nursing for the Associate Degree Nursing Program or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing for the Practical Nursing Program.
