The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions across all ranks. CUNY Tech Prep operates within the higher education sector, based in New York, NY. This year-long initiative serves Computer Science and related majors across the eleven senior colleges of the City University of New York. The program provides training in in-demand technologies, professional soft skills, and career placement strategies for the New York City tech market without charging tuition to participating students.
The curriculum consists of two semesters of technical coursework focused on either Web Development or Data Science. Participants complete projects by building applications from initial design through implementation, culminating in presentations at biannual Demo Nights. Personalized career coaching is integrated throughout to refine professional capabilities and prepare graduates for the workforce.
The initiative was established using insights from New York City technology companies and receives support from the NYC Tech Talent Pipeline.
