About the Role
The Activity Assistant serves as a vital partner to the Activity Director, dedicated to fostering a creative and interactive environment for residents. The core mission of this position is to design and deliver an ongoing program of activities that aligns with comprehensive assessments, ensuring that the unique physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of every resident are met in compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate standards.
In this role, you will be the bridge between the facility and its community. You will facilitate communication among staff, residents, families, and external agencies to ensure the best interests of the community are prioritized. Your day-to-day impact involves planning and executing individual, small-group, and large-group activities, ranging from hobbies and crafts to reading sessions and outings. You will also play a key role in maintaining the Activity Department, ensuring it remains a clean, orderly, and secure space for residents to enjoy.
