This position serves as a vital resource within our accounting operations, performing general accounts payable duties in accordance with company and established accounting policies. You will be the point of contact for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of all company invoices, providing quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
In this role, you will receive invoices from communities, vendors, and corporate associates, reviewing each for legitimacy, accurate coding, and appropriate approvals. You will prioritize processing urgent items such as utilities, government agencies, legal settlements, and resident refunds. Your day-to-day involves coding and batching invoices, entering them into the accounts payable software system, and verifying work before approving payments for the general ledger.
Beyond processing, you will act as a resource for less experienced staff, responding to inquiries regarding invoice status and payment information. You will research and resolve payment and invoice discrepancies, maintain purchase card transactions, and evaluate current business processes to identify and support improvements. This role requires using limited independent judgment to solve problems using standard procedures and knowing when to refer issues to a supervisor.
The application window for this position is anticipated to close within 30 days of the date of the posting. We encourage you to apply early to ensure your submission is considered.
Brookdale is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
