Vice President of Finance

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a strategic Vice President of Finance to drive efficiency improvements across the entire value chain. This role is designed for a leader with a sound understanding of all business processes who can provide the coordination and leadership necessary for all company financial decisions and product line analysis.

As a core member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will serve as the primary business partner to the President and other Vice Presidents, playing a pivotal role in the company's strategic decision-making. The position requires a professional who can assure financial reporting accuracy while actively identifying and driving efficiency improvements in sales, operations, logistics, and finance.

Day in the Life

In this role, you will oversee the accounting and HR departments, including the shared service center, ensuring seamless operations. Your day will involve monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results by product line and coordinating the preparation of financial forecasts. You will be responsible for preparing financial analysis to support contract negotiations and critical product line decisions, while also driving capital employed and working capital improvement projects.

Beyond analysis, you will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial and tax reporting requirements, coordinate internal audits, and identify potential savings to coordinate resulting projects. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and business processes, with a focus on utilizing data to enhance organizational performance.
