Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Supervisor serves as a key partner to the department manager, overseeing the full spectrum of accounts payable activities. This role is designed to ensure seamless workflow and accurate financial processing while managing a team of associates. You will be the operational anchor for assigned clients, guiding the team through transaction processing, vendor management, and month-end reporting.
Day in the Life
Your day involves balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You will supervise associates as they process transactions, stepping in to review complex coding, prepare invoices, and resolve outstanding vendor items. A significant portion of your time is dedicated to maintaining data integrity within the INDEX imaging system and ensuring all payment approvals align with company standards.
Beyond daily operations, you will act as a primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, addressing concerns regarding expenses and vendor relationships with professionalism and speed. You will also lead the team through month-end reporting tasks, fostering a collaborative environment where ethical standards and IMC core values are upheld in every interaction.
Work Environment
This position operates on a standard business schedule, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires a high degree of adaptability to manage sudden shifts in priority within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circlePrepare accounts payable checks as required
- check_circleObtain and archive required vendor documentation such as W-9 and ACH info

- check_circleApprove A/P associates time in ADP
- check_circleAssist clients and managers with questions regarding expenses and vendors
- check_circleReview and code invoices and prepare A/P transaction batches
- check_circleApply team approach to complete month-end reporting tasks
Requirements
- verified8+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounts Payable
- verifiedSignificant supervisory experience
- verifiedStrong understanding of accounting and general ledger coding concepts
- verifiedExperience in system conversions
- verifiedProficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedUnderstanding of various ERP accounting software (Great Plains is a plus)
