The Accounts Payable Representative is an individual contributor role dedicated to the day-to-day processing of accounts payable for vendor remittance. This position serves as a critical link in the organization's financial operations, ensuring that expenses are accurately recorded, verified, and reconciled while maintaining the highest standards of customer service for both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
In this role, you will represent the company professionally and support the Accounts Payable Team Lead, Supervisor, and Director of Cash Management. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of invoice processing, from receiving and coding stock invoices to charging expenses to the correct accounts and cost centers. A key part of your mission involves building and maintaining strong rapport with external vendors through timely communication and proactive issue resolution, ensuring that all outstanding items are accurately recorded and discrepancies are swiftly addressed.
The role requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. You will utilize critical thinking skills to resolve complex invoice issues, collaborate closely with various departments, and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive financial information. As a team member, you will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the department by participating in educational opportunities and adapting quickly to process changes.
