About the Role
The Accounting Specialist, Operations plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity by identifying and resolving debt situations for advisors and policy owners. This position goes beyond standard data entry; it involves gathering, evaluating, and presenting evidence to determine debit balances and negotiating repayment arrangements directly with debtors via telephone or correspondence.
In addition to collections, you will manage complex financial resolutions, including facilitating write-offs, processing payment settlements, handling check and wire refunds, and resolving rejected funds. This role requires extensive system and accounting analysis to investigate contact information, reprocess overpayments, and ensure funds are returned to the correct destinations efficiently.
