About the Role
Our client, a rapidly scaling technology-enabled services company, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead general ledger operations and support a growing, multi-entity environment. Based in Austin, TX, this position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring three days per week in the office.
This role is designed for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced organization. You will partner closely with accounting and operational teams to drive accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal processes, and manage a small team through continued growth. As a key business partner to internal stakeholders, you will provide critical financial insight while ensuring compliant accounting processes across payroll, invoicing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOwn general ledger activities and ensure accurate, timely month-end close across multiple entities
- check_circleManage and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and close deliverables
- check_circleSupport consolidated financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- check_circlePartner cross-functionally with operations, payroll, and invoicing teams to ensure compliant accounting processes
- check_circleIdentify and implement process improvements to support scalability and efficiency
- check_circleSupport quarterly and annual audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses
- check_circleLead and develop accounting team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management
- check_circleServe as a business partner to internal stakeholders, providing financial insight and support
Requirements

- verified6+ years of progressive accounting experience
