About the Role
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with a well-established organization in the Washington, DC area to find an Accounting Manager. This position is designed to lead day-to-day accounting operations, serving as the backbone for the organization's financial integrity. The role exists to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of core operational accounting functions, from the month-end close to high-level financial reporting.
In this hybrid capacity, you will operate in a deadline-driven environment where technical accounting knowledge meets leadership. You will not only manage the general ledger and review complex journal entries but also foster team development and strengthen internal controls. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires partnering with executive leadership to drive operational improvements and audit readiness.

Requirements

Supervisory experience. CPA certification. Experience with large ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Unanet, Costpoint, or similar).
