The Superior Court of California, County of Orange, established in 1893, is the fifth-largest trial court in the United States and the third-largest court of general jurisdiction in California. The Accounting and Fiscal Services Director serves as a single-level professional classification reporting directly to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. This role is responsible for directing, managing, and supervising the Accounting and Fiscal Services unit, which encompasses General Accounting (including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Audits, Payroll, and Alternate Defense) and Fiscal Services (including Financial Processing, Trust Accounting, and Escheatment).
In this capacity, the Director provides highly responsible professional support to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, coordinating activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, and stakeholders. The position involves overseeing policy administration, personnel management, program management, cash control, and budget administration. The Director provides direction and supervision to a diverse team of management, supervisory, professional, technical, and administrative staff, ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the Court.

California trial court finance and budget experience. Experience successfully implementing several significant multi-agency projects/initiatives. Possession of a valid Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in business administration, finance, public administration, economics, accounting, or a closely related financial field. Availability to periodically work evenings and weekends, if needed.
