About the Role
The Direct Claims Associate Account Manager serves as a pivotal link in our claims resolution process, operating under supervision to monitor, review, and coordinate activities surrounding environmental, asbestos, and latent claims. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate resolution of coverage issues and the establishment of adequate reserves.
In this position, you will analyze and investigate new loss notices and claim tenders, working closely with policy search teams to locate relevant coverage documentation. You will be responsible for positioning claims under primary, umbrella, and excess coverage frameworks while coordinating the retention of defense counsel with internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day involves collaborating with insured parties, defense counsel, and other carriers to establish defense strategies and proactively manage case resolution, including participation in mediations. Additionally, you will work with the reinsurance department to manage account updates and inquiries, collaborate with in-house legal teams on declaratory judgment actions, and ensure timely processing of payments with proper allocation across policies.
