About the Role
This position serves as a critical link in our field operations, focusing on the deployment and installation of AMR/AMI meters. While previous experience in meter installation or as a field technician is preferred, we are committed to your growth and will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. The role is designed for self-motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and can work independently with technical support as needed.
Day in the Life
You will be responsible for executing daily field deployments and ensuring route saturation. Your day will involve navigating to various locations, performing meter installations, and accurately documenting all work completed. A significant portion of your time will be spent driving for 8-10 hours per day, requiring you to operate a motor vehicle safely under all weather conditions. You will interface professionally with field representatives and customers, utilizing excellent communication skills to resolve issues and elevate any problems to your supervisor immediately.
The work environment is dynamic, taking you both inside and outside. You will be exposed to varying conditions, including heat, cold, fumes, dust, noise, and water. The role demands physical adaptability, including the ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around moving mechanical parts. You must be prepared to adjust to inclement weather and work around all types of animals while performing tasks such as stooping, crawling, reaching, and lifting equipment weighing 25 pounds or more.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a High School Diploma or equivalent. The selection process includes a review of your background and the successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including a drug screen. We are looking for individuals with normal functioning senses, including good eyesight, color vision, and depth perception, as well as the ability to read and understand maps.
