Northwest Independent School District is dedicated to fostering the intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth of every student. Our mission is to equip learners with the competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society, ensuring that every child fulfills their unique potential.
As an Elementary 4th Grade Teacher, you will serve as a primary architect of your students' educational journey. This role exists to provide appropriate learning activities that bridge the gap between individual student needs and district curriculum standards. You will be responsible for creating a classroom environment that is not only conducive to learning but also supportive of the physical, social, and emotional development of 4th graders.
In this position, you will design and implement lesson plans that reflect accommodations for diverse learning styles while adhering to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency. Your day will involve a dynamic blend of direct instruction, collaborative planning with colleagues and special education staff, and active engagement with families. You will act as a positive role model, guiding students in analyzing their study habits and fostering a culture of professional ethics and responsibility.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the Campus Principal or Human Resources. The selection process focuses on identifying educators who align with the district's mission and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be expected to hold a valid Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsements and possess the ability to manage student behavior effectively.
