As a Shift Supervisor for the 3rd Shift, you will oversee production teams in a manufacturing environment to meet customer requirements while maintaining and enhancing quality and process improvement objectives. This role is critical for ensuring that off-shift operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
You will act as a production facilitator responsible for all activities within your department. Your day involves reviewing work orders, assigning duties based on machine capabilities, and organizing controls to ensure quality products are produced. You will serve as a technical resource, troubleshooting process interruptions and assisting employees in solving work problems. A key part of your mission is to drive collaboration and improvements through Lean Daily Management tools and 5S initiatives, ensuring a safe and orderly work environment.
The role requires you to be a role model for operators, demonstrating strong productivity, performance, and adherence to company policy. You will manage employee expectations, conduct performance assessments, and partner with HR to ensure policies are enforced. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling off-shift activities, training new employees, and conducting shift hand-offs, arriving 30 minutes prior to the shift start and staying 30 minutes after to ensure a seamless transition.
