About the Program

Our 10-week paid Summer Internship provides hands-on exposure to the Capital Markets business while building a strong foundation in financial markets and corporate finance. Interns work alongside experienced professionals, supporting live transactions and client deliverables, while participating in structured training, mentorship, and peer development programming. Successful interns may be considered for entry into the full-time Capital Markets Development Program upon graduation.

The Role

As a Capital Markets Intern, you will support the origination, structuring, and execution of capital markets transactions across corporate bonds, loans, structured products, and working capital solutions. You will assist in preparing client-facing materials such as pitchbooks, lender presentations, and market updates, and conduct financial and credit analysis, including reviews of financial statements and comparable transactions. You will also monitor market conditions and recent transaction activity while collaborating with product teams, coverage partners, and analysts throughout the deal lifecycle. Assignments may align to one of the following product areas: Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Loan Capital Markets, or Structured Credit.

Working Model

This role is hybrid. Team members in a hybrid role typically spend four days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. Interns work approximately 40 hours each week during the internship.
