As a 1st Shift Wet Etch Process Support Engineer, you will join the Etch processes production work center within the RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services (RFMicro) Department. Based in our Andover, MA facility, you will focus on gallium arsenide, gallium nitride, and III-V focal plane array fabrication. This role is designed to ensure the seamless operation of our semiconductor foundry by providing critical engineering support and driving process improvements.
In this position, you will work autonomously with limited oversight to process wafers for FETs, MMICs, and FPAs in a cleanroom environment. Your day will involve reviewing lots and wafers requiring special disposition, conducting failure analysis on tools and processes, and supporting work center leads in tool and process qualification efforts. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to communicating with manufacturing personnel, equipment teams, and engineering leads to ensure the work center has the necessary resources to function efficiently. Presence on the manufacturing floor is essential for quick resolution of issues and maintaining a rapid reaction time to prevent interruptions to customer commitments.
