Economics faculty are a vital component of the Business Department, supporting key academic pathways across the college. This is a full-time, teaching-focused position dedicated to preparing students for careers in business, public policy, and the social sciences, as well as transfer to four-year institutions. The role is not research-focused.
In this position, you will teach first- and second-year courses including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and General Studies Introduction to Economics. You will design meaningful learning experiences that connect economic concepts to real-world applications, utilizing face-to-face, online, hybrid, and hyflex modalities. The role emphasizes active learning, engagement, and the use of open educational resources (OER) to support diverse student populations.
Beyond the classroom, faculty contribute to department and college initiatives, support student clubs, and engage in ongoing professional development. Teaching assignments may include morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and accelerated courses across CSM's various campuses and centers, including dual enrollment opportunities for high school students.
