Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct individual counseling sessions focused on academic progress and career advisement
- check_circleProvide guidance on post-secondary planning including college and vocational training pathways
- check_circleAssist eligible students with CUNY and FAFSA application processes
- check_circleMonitor academic progress by reviewing reports and offering targeted support as needed
- check_circleFacilitate group sessions on job readiness, leadership, conflict resolution, and civic engagement
- check_circleConduct attendance outreach including home and worksite visits when needed
- check_circleCommunicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- check_circleMaintain accurate documentation in Salesforce and the New Visions Portal
- check_circleTrack student engagement, attendance, and outcomes
- check_circleCollaborate with teachers, DOE staff, and agency partners to support student success
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field
- verifiedExperience working with youth in a NYC high school setting
- verifiedKnowledge of college and career readiness and youth development
