About the Role

The Yellow Iron Diesel Mechanic is a vital part of our fleet maintenance team, responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. This role focuses primarily on yellow iron machinery, diesel heavy trucks, and engines.

Beyond standard maintenance, this position requires the ability to operate the machinery being repaired. The mechanic must understand maintenance and breakdown needs to initiate and assign necessary repairs. As part of a collaborative team, you will work alongside other Yellow Iron Diesel Mechanics on different shifts and assist Senior Technicians with project work. At times, you may be on call to assist with emergency breakdowns.
