About the Role
The Senior Application Developer serves as a critical technical resource within our IBM i / iSeries environment, focusing on the analysis, design, and development of RPG IV programs and DB2 databases. This role is designed to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and robust technical solutions for our custom Warehouse Management System (WMS).
In this position, you will not only design and develop code but also provide Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting assistance. You will work collaboratively with Sr. Solutions Architects and Systems Analysts to debug code, manage data structures, and implement change management solutions. The role requires a balance of independent problem-solving and team collaboration, with the added responsibility of supporting the Help Desk team as a Tier 2 responder. While the core of the work is technical, success in this role also involves communicating effectively with stakeholders and adapting to the evolving needs of the organization.
